Islamabad: A pricing agreement for a natural gas pipeline from Turkmenistan will take shape as early as September, Turkmenistan ambassador to Pakistan Sapar Berdiniyazov said.
Turkmenistan will deliver gas through Afghanistan, Pakistan & India from its huge domestic reserves. Berdiniyazov said both sides could reach a decision on pricing for the pipeline by next month.
“(The) framework agreement between the four countries has already been signed in Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan,” he added. Turkmenistan plans to deliver about 1.1 trillion cubic feet of gas each year through the pipeline when it goes online in 2014.
