JazzCash introduces Insurance for Children’s Education

Islamabad, October 02, 2018 (PPI-OT): JazzCash, the country’s fastest growing mobile financial services provider, has partnered with Chubb Insurance Pakistan Ltd. to come up with an innovative insurance product. The product called Child Education Plan, secures a child’s education in the case of an unfortunate event leading to disability or accidental death.

Jazz wins Pakistan’s fastest mobile network Speedtest award from Ookla

Islamabad, September 11, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Speedtest award from Ookla goes to Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital communications company. Ookla, an independent global leader in internet testing analysed tests from a large sample of genuine mobile users in Pakistan, and found Jazz to be significantly ahead of its competitor telecom networks.

JazzCash and National Bank of Pakistan to Service the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment

Karachi, June 28, 2018 (PPI-OT): JazzCash has collaborated with National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to provide fee collection service to Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment. From now onwards, all Pakistani citizens pursuing overseas employment can pay the application fee through the JazzCash Mobile Account or any of the nationwide JazzCash retailers.

Sharing thoughts on this collaboration, Saeed Ahmad, President and CEO – NBP, stated, “This partnership with JazzCash allows us to not only simplify work at our end, but also leads to time saving and convenience for the applicants. Leveraging the bank’s financial expertise coupled with the strength of JazzCash’s extensive network, we are continuously striving to provide digital solutions to the financial needs of our customers.”

As per official figures, more than 1 million people applied for their overseas employment and emigration in 2017. By utilizing JazzCash’s service, the process time will now drastically reduce to a matter of mere minutes.

NBP and JazzCash have also partnered to introduce digital payments collection facility for Passport Fee Payments, Tax payments at Baluchistan’s Excise and Taxation Department and Public Service Commission Fee payments.

JazzCash Achieves Record Growth in Q1 2018

Islamabad, May 03, 2018 (PPI-OT): JazzCash, Jazz’s mobile financial product, has achieved record growth in its Mobile Account customers during the 1st quarter of 2018. As per official figures, JazzCash added half a million customers to its thirty day active base in record time of just 70 days, bringing the total active user base to over 3.5 million customers – a large step towards its mission to introduce formal financial services to the unbanked. During the quarter, JazzCash observed a growth of over 100% in terms of Mobile Account transactions versus the same quarter last year – over 90 million financial transactions performed.

During the same time, customer balances in Mobile Accounts also increased by over 100%.

JazzCash and Bank Alfalah Securing Funds Transfer across Pakistan

Karachi, January 05, 2018 (PPI-OT):In an industry first move, JazzCash and Bank Alfalah are set to empower its customers to transfer funds to people’s CNIC through Alfalah Internet Banking. The service known as ‘Pay Anyone’ will enable people across Pakistan to collect funds sent on their CNIC from JazzCash agents. The service allows Bank Alfalah customers to transfer up to PKR 50,000 monthly.
