2nd International PACES (Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System) Competition is being held at Lahore Garrison from 8-15 October

Rawalpindi, October 05, 2018 (PPI-OT): 2nd International PACES (Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System) Competition is being held at Lahore Garrison from 8-15 Oct. Teams from armies of 19 countries including Pakistan will participate. PACES is a Systematic training methodology that enables to develop a human’s physical and mental capabilities. First championship was held at Lahore during 2016 which was won by Pakistan. Teams of Kuwait, UAE, China, Maldive armies have arrived. Remaining teams arriving by 7 Oct.

The first Convocation Ceremony of DHA Suffa University of Engineering, Computer and Management Sciences held today

Rawalpindi, October 04, 2018 (PPI-OT): The first Convocation Ceremony of DHA Suffa University of Engineering, Computer and Management Sciences was held today. Commander Karachi Corps Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz, who is also the chancellor of the university was the chief guest. Corps Commander congratulated the passing out students on successful completion of the course in various discipline.

He distributed the medals and degrees among the recipients and said, students must continue work hard for better future and serve the country. Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz appreciated the faculty of the University for providing quality education to the students.

Chief of Army Staff delivers key note address on “Security of Pakistan” in Three Day International Conference at Air University Islamabad on “Radicalization: Perceptions, Realities and Challenges of Campus Life”

Rawalpindi, September 27, 2018 (PPI-OT): General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) delivered key note address on “Security of Pakistan” in Three Day International Conference at Air University Islamabad on “Radicalization: Perceptions, Realities and Challenges of Campus Life”. COAS talked in detail about security situation of the country and his vision of enduring peace in Pakistan and in the region. Highlighting internal and external challenges to National Security, COAS said that full spectrum of threat demands comprehensive national response involving all institutions of state.

He underscored Pakistan’s resolve and determination to confront global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism and cleanse Pakistan of the menace. COAS said that Army will keep doing all that is required of us for provision of secure environment for sustained socio-economic progress.

In the end COAS said Armed Forces and Nation have sacrificed a lot to bring back stability across the country. Terrorism has been effectively contained with complete nation’s support but we need to remain vigilant and follow the correct course to move from survival to revival. Earlier, on arrival COAS was received by Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of Air Staff and Air Vice Marshal Faaiz Amir (Retired), Vice Chancellor Air University.

Foreign Minister of Islamic Republic of Iran calls on General Qamar Javed Bajwa

Rawalpindi, August 31, 2018 (PPI-OT): H.E. Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ, today. Regional security situation and other matters of mutual interest were discussed. COAS said that Pakistan is taking sincere steps for peace and security in the region. The visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s contributions for conflict prevention in the region.
