Special children of Pakistan Navy Schools shine at Special Olympics, United States

Islamabad, August 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): Special Children from Pakistan Navy schools have proven their mettle at the International arena with their sparkling performance at the Special Olympics 2015 held at Los Angeles, USA. By giving a strong message across the globe that we are no less than anyone in the world, Special children of Pakistan Navy’s Special Children Schools won medals and distinctions representing Pakistan at the Special Olympics World Games, held at Los Angeles, USA.

Miss Saira Ikram of PN’s Special Children School Mauripur, Karachi has won the Silver Medal in the 100 meters race/category, Miss Amna Irshad of PN Special Children School, KARSAZ, Karachi won Silver Medal in Long Jump and Muhammad Saqab Wasim of PN Special Children School, Islamabad won Bronze Medal in Long Jump.

Besides winning the medals, these Special Children of Pakistan Navy also won distinctions in various competitions. Miss Saira Ikram stood fourth and fifth in the 4 X 100 meters Relay Race and 200 meters Race respectively, Miss Amna Irshad stood 2nd in Long Jump whereas, Muhammad Saqab Wasim stood fourth in 100 meters as well as 4 X 100 meters Relay Race.

This highest demonstration of skills by Pakistan Navy’s Special children, despite growing up with intellectual disability resonated a message of spirit and compassion that sports is the real expression of human desire and we, the Special Pakistani Children, are no less than anyone to compete and win the accolades for our country at any level.
