Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority signs deal with Bahria University to collaborate, extend and exchange their resources and expertise

Lahore, February 16, 2016 (PPI-OT): Chief Executive Officer-SMEDA Mr. Alamgir Chaudhary and Director General, Bahria University, Vice Admiral (retd) K.G. Hussain HI (M) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate, extend and exchange their resources and expertise for the promotion and development of Youth, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Women Entrepreneurs (WEs) in Pakistan.

Reaching the head office after signing ceremony, CEO SMEDA informed his team that both the organisations have agreed to co-operate and co-ordinate on inter-institutional efforts to arrive at academic and professional collaboration to enhance industry-academia linkages by regular exchange of information regarding their initiatives, programs and activities along with their respective repositories’ of information on entrepreneurship development. Both the organisations would arrange, conduct and facilitate co-branded programs to build capacities of SMEs and will jointly work in finding ways and means for development and strengthening of entrepreneurship environment in Pakistan, he said adding that SMEDA and Bahria University would be exploring ways and means to initiate common business support programs coupled with a joint movement for promotion, awareness and dissemination of entrepreneurship knowledge among Youth and SMEs.

Mr. Alamgir assured to facilitate interested students of Bahria University to start their own business and help them in access to finance.
