Sindh government to file petition in Supreme Court on Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease and National Institute of Child Health

Karachi, July 11, 2016 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that Sindh Government will a petition against the decision of Sindh High Court on Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease NICVD and National Institute of Child Health NICH in full bench of Supreme Court. This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office.

Secretary Health Ahmed Bux Narejo, Dr. Anis Bhatti, Dr. Nadeem Qamar and Dr. Jamal Raza also attended the meeting. He said that it was the domain of provincial government to run such institutions after 18th amendment and if the federal government had any objection, it should have gone in the court not the employees.

The Health Minister assured the employees that their rights, perks and privileges would be protected at all cost and they would have equal rights as other employees of the health Department had. Mr. Dahar added, ‘Sindh Government is committed to provide better health facilities to the people of the province and it has been working seriously to achieve its goal.’ He said that the health department was committed to comply with the orders of the honourable courts and no one was above the law.

Meanwhile the Health Minister called two long absent Doctors Muhammad Jamil Mugjal and Waseemuddin Shaikh, however Dr. Muhammad Jamil Mughal did not comply with the order. The Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar ordered to issue final show cause notice to the absent doctor and if he failed to appear for personal hearing, he might be removed from his service.
