Sindh Chief Minister pays surprise visit of Tughlaq House

Karachi, December 20, 2016 (PPI-OT):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid a surprise visit of Tughlaq House, the old Sindh Secretariat and checked the muster roll of officers and their attendance of staff. The chief minister visited all the departments offices housed in Tughlaq House such as Home, agriculture, education, labour, Industries, Development and Planning, Chief Minister Inspection Team and others.

All the secretaries were present in their offices but some senior officers had yet to turn up on their duties. The chief minister directed the chief secretary Rizwan Memon who was accompanied by him to issue the show cause notices. The chief minister when reached at Tughlaq House was received by Chairman CMIT Almuddin Bullo, ACS (Dev) Mohammad Waseem, Secretary Agriculture Saeed Mangnijo and others.

He visited each and every floor and expressed his displeasure to see heaps of old files lying and broken furniture in the corridor of the secretariat. He directed chief secretary to issue circular to remove dumped old files from the corridor and keep the secretariat neat and clean. The chief minister also expressed his dismay to see the face uplifting work of Tughlaq House incomplete and directed chief secretary to get it completed.
