Seminar on Corporate Governance – Current State, Challenges and Way Forward Tuesday, May 26, 2015

Karachi, May 25, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Southern Regional Committee (SRC) of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is organizing a seminar on Corporate Governance – Current State, Challenges and Way Forward on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at ICAP House, Clifton Karachi.

Zafar Hijazi, Chairman, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan will be the Session Chairman and Syed Asad Ali Shah, Managing Partner, M. Yousuf Adil Saleem and Co. Chartered Accountants (Deloitte Pakistan) will be the keynote speaker at the seminar.

A panel discussion will be conducted for which the panelists will be Nadeem Naqvi, Managing Director, Karachi Stock Exchange Limited, Parvez Ghias, CEO, Indus Motor Company Limited and Zaffar A. Khan, Adjunct Faculty at the Institute of Business Administration. The session will be moderated by Fuad A. Hashimi, President and CEO, Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. Other leading guests from the industry are expected as well.

The key objective of this seminar is to take stock of the current state of Corporate Governance in the country, the state of its implementation in the aftermath of issuance of updated code including a discussion on key changes, and to deliberate upon current challenges and the way forward.
