Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan holds seminar on Mandatory Online Filing of Statutory Returns

Faisalabad, May 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Company Registration Office (CRO) Faisalabad held a seminar on “Mandatory Online Filing of Statutory Returns” in collaboration with Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

In-charge CRO Faisalabad, Mr. Mahboob Ahmad (Joint Registrar), informed the participants that SECP has made it mandatory for all listed and other companies to file documents, returns, accounts, and applications, through SECP’s online e-Services from May 13, 2013; a notification in this regard had already been issued by the SECP on March 13, 2013. He further informed the participants of the various steps taken by the SECP to facilitate the corporate sector of Pakistan.

The e-Services filing facility is an easy and hassle-free mode of submission for the companies to carryout statutory filing, along with an added feature of lesser fees as compared to manual/physical filing of documents, returns and applications.

The seminar was attended by a large number of professionals from ICMAP, ICAP and Corporate Secretaries. Mr. Zahid Aslam, President FCCI and Mr. Muhammad Buta, Vice President FCCI, graced the occasion, and lauded the efforts of the SECP in the development of Pakistan’s corporate sector and arranging such interactive seminars.
