Search operation launched near Governor House in Srinagar

Srinagar, December 03, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police, today, launched a massive search operation near Governor House in Zabarwan forest area of Srinagar after two persons abandoned a lorry when they were asked to stop near a barricade.

A police official said that a load carrier was intercepted near Governor House at around 5 am today. “The driver was signalled to stop for checking. However, he along with another person abandoned the vehicle and slipped into nearby forests,” he said.

A massive search operation has been launched to nab the persons, he said, adding that helicopters might be pressed in for help.
