SAARC ministers call to boost regional trade

GENEVA: Commerce and Trade Ministers of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member states called for boosting trade between the regional countries in order to mitigate negative impact of the global economic crisis, a statement said on Thursday.

They said this in a communique after meeting on the sidelines of the World Trade Organization (WTO) ministerial conference, it said. Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim represented Pakistan at the meeting.
