Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry delegation to attend ‘Made in Pakistan’ expo in Dhaka

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (RCCI) delegation will leave for Dhaka to participate in the “Made in Pakistan” a 5-day Expo jointly organized by the RCCI and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) starting from June 14 to June 18 in a Hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

More then 60 Pakistani companies will take part in Made in Pakistan Dhaka expo, said President RCCI Syed Ali Raza Saeed Shah while addressing the RCCI standing Committee for Fair & Expo meeting here on Thursday.

Chairman of the Standing Committee Kashif Shabbir, Senior Vice President Mian Ateeq, Vice President Dr. Shimail Daud and other members of the committee were also present on the occasion.

Ali Raza said that basic purpose of organizing the Made in Pakistan is to enhance the bilateral trade among the SAARC countries and promote the regional cooperation. He said that ratio of trade among the SAARC member countries is around 4.5 percent and the ratio of trade among the European Union States is 55 per cent, RCCI goal is to endorse regional trade like the EU countries. He further said that RCCI focusing on to reducing the trade deficit which is around $12 billion.

Speaking on the occasion Chairman of the Committee Kashif Shabbir during the visit delegation will meet the Bangladeshi officials and businessmen community to enhance the trading activities between the Pakistan and Bangladesh. He said that same kind of Expos will be organized in all the SAARC countries.
