Punjab Govt to set up modern livestock markets in Punjab CM

LAHORE: Punjab government will set up modern livestock markets in the province. It was decided in a meeting presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here Saturday.

Member National Assembly Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, Secretary Livestock, Secretary Local Government and officers concerned were present.

The Chief Minister said that setting up of modern livestock markets is of vital importance for promotion of livestock sector in the province. He said that establishment of livestock markets will result in better facilities to cattle farmers and traders.

He directed that the project of establishing livestock markets should be completed in at least 15 districts of the province on the pattern of model bazaars. Member National Assembly Muhammad Afzal Khokhar will be the chairman of the project.
