Punjab government has taken effective steps for controlling dengue: Chief Minister

Lahore, April 07, 2016 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government has taken effective steps for controlling dengue however government and citizens should make collective and sustained efforts to cope with this menace. In his message on Anti-Dengue Day, the Chief Minister said that there is a need to renew the pledge that coordinated efforts will be made to root out dengue.

He said that all segments of the society should support the government in its drive against dengue. He said that public awareness campaign regarding preventive measures against dengue should be continued and government officials should participate in anti-dengue campaign with a spirit of public service. The Chief Minister expressed the determination that all out resources would be utilized and protection of life of people against dengue will be ensured.
