Lahore: Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) will hold investment seminars and mango exhibitions in Rome and Milan, a statement said on Saturday.
Working groups have been constituted to finalise the arrangements for the said events, the PBIT statement said.
Italian Ambassador Vincenzo Prati proposed holding investment seminar and mango exhibition in Italy, in collaboration with PBIT, the statement said.
Prati made the suggestion during his visit to the PBIT along with Head of Commercial & Economic Section, Embassy of Italy, Federico Bianchi and President Italian Pakistan Business Association (IPBA) Ahsan Rashseed.
PBIT Chief Executive Saadat Muzaffar took immediate action on the viable proposal and constituted working groups to arrange the investment seminar and mango exhibition in Rome and Milan.
The Italian envoy his team and the PBIT top brass deliberated on boosting trade between Italy and Pakistan.
Saadat Muzaffar briefed the ambassador about prior projects, which also include setting up integrated cold chain storage units.
He explained investment potential of Punjab and incentives available for the investors. He also highlighted mutually beneficial key areas for trade such as textile, leather and marble.
