Pulwama shuts for second consecutive day today

Srinagar, February 16, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama district for the second consecutive day, today, against the killing of two students including a girl by Indian troops in the district. The students, Shaista Hamid and Danish Rashid, were killed when Indian Army and police personnel opened fire during a peaceful protest on Sunday against the killing of a youth by Indian troops in Lelahaar area of the district on the same day.

Shaista was an MA Urdu student while Danish was pursuing engineering from Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora. All shops, business establishments and other offices remained closed while traffic was off the road.
