Protesting Er Rasheed forcibly shifted to his house

Srinagar, December 24, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Indian police forcibly shifted the member of so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed, who was on a sit-in protest outside the residence of puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, to his residence at Jawahar Nagar.

Engineer Abdur Rasheed had started a 48-hour sit-in protest yesterday at 11:30am against the issuance of domicile certificates to non-Kashmiri refugees in Jammu region.

Engineer Rasheed is demanding that the granting of domicile certificates to the West Pakistani Hindu refugees be stopped immediately. He termed the move as an attempt to change the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir.

Inam-un-Nabi, the spokesman of Engineer Rasheed, told mediamen that at around 11:30am, today, a team of Indian police reached the spot and bundled Engineer Rasheed into a vehicle and shifted him to his residence in Jawahar Nagar.
