Prime Minister to perform ground breaking of upgradation of Zhob Mughal Kot and Qila Saifullah-Waigam Rud roads

Islamabad, December 29, 2015 (PPI-OT): According to a press release of National Highway Authority Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is going to perform ground breaking of two important projects of Baluchistan i.e. the upgradation of Zhob-Mughal Kot (N-50) and Qila Saifullah-Waigam Rud (N-70) roads today.

The Zhob-Mughal Kot section is 81 kilometer long and its up gradation will cost 9 billion rupees, whereas Qila Saifullah-Waigam Road Section is 128 kilometres long and its up gradation will cost 8 billion rupees. Both the projects will be financed by Asian Development Bank and will be completed in two years.

With completion of these projects, road links between Baluchistan and other provinces will be strengthened and the people of Baluchistan will witness an era of progress and prosperity. The present democratic government is making all out efforts to alleviate the sufferings and deprivations of the people of developing provinces and various projects have been launched there on priority basis and the Government’s Baluchistan Package is a part of this endeavour.

The press release said, the China-Pak Economic Corridor package of projects will ensure phenomenal progress for the people of these areas. There is plan to convert the 4-lane Burhan to Dera Ismail Khan Motorway into 6-lane. The completion of the Western Route of China-Pak Economic Corridor will usher in a new era of rapid progress and economic prosperity for the people of Baluchistan in particular.
