President for further deepening of Pakistan-Belgium bilateral ties

Islamabad, August 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): President Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan has investor-friendly policies and expressed the hope that Belgian companies would invest in Pakistan in various economic sectors. The President observed that Pakistan’s achievements at economic and financial front are being acknowledged globally. The President said this while talking to outgoing ambassador of Belgium Mr. Peter Claes who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday.

The President called for greater people-to-people contacts and exchange of parliamentary, cultural and business delegations between the two countries to deepen bilateral relations. The President stated that Pakistan desires to benefit from Belgium in education sector and suggested enhanced collaboration between the universities of the two countries.

The President emphasized that Pakistan is committed to fight the menace of terrorism and extremism till its complete eradication. The President commended the services of Mr. Peter Claes for promoting bilateral relations between the two countries and wished the outgoing envoy success in his future life and assignments. Mr. Peter Claes thanked the President for the support he was extended by the Government of Pakistan during his stay as ambassador in Pakistan.
