PPI Original Text (PPI-OT) – Record developmental works made my opponents restless: Minister for Finance

Peshawar, May 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Engr. Muhammad Humayun Khan has claimed that the unprecedented developmental works worth more than Rs. 6 billions carried out in PK-99 during the last four years has made restless the political opponents.

He was addressing public meetings at Mishta and Khusal Garh, near Khar District Malakand the other day. The functions were also addressed by PPP Tehsil President Sadiq, former Chairman Muhammad Jamil, Bakhmand and Taj Muhammad. M/S Bahram Shahzada, Burhan, Khan Shahzada, Rahman Shahzada, Shahzad, Fazal Subhan and Ghufran Ustad alongiwth their families who resigned from various political parties and joined PPP. They also reposed complete confidence in the leadership of Engr. Humayun Khan and assured him unflinching support.

The Provincial Minister in his address presented detail of development works carried out in PK-99 during the last four years, including construction and widening of Qulangi-Inzergai Agra Road with an estimated cost of Rs. 50 million, Inzargai-Bararosar Road Rs. 40 million and Inzargai Water Supply Scheme with Rs. 10.56 million. Similarly, Rs. 10 million were being spent on widening and repair of Tanga Road Khar, pavement of streets in Khar, Daman and Sabil Banda etc with Rs. 10.50 million and upgradation of GPS Karkani to middle level with Rs. 5 million.

He said on completion of these schemes, the people of the area would feel positive change. Humayun Khan said that PPP was a popular party having deep roots among the people and has served them devotedly whenever came to power. The joining of PPP in large number by the people was reflective of the fact that the popularity graph of PPP was rising.

Referring to the problems of the area, the minister announced Rs. 80 lac for fulfillment of urgent requirements of Mishta area.
