PIA further reduces night coach fare from Rs 6,666 to Rs 5,000 (excluding taxes)

Karachi: Deputy Managing Director PIA, Captain Junaid Younus Monday announced that as New Year Gift and immense response by travelling public within the country, night coach fares further reduced from Rs 6,666/- to Rs 5,000/- (excluding taxes).

PIA is operating night coach flights with full load in order to facilitate domestic travel by air as rail- road services were not adequate to meet travelling demand in the country. He said PIA management was adopting proactive policies to turnaround PIA and making it easy, affordable travelling option for public. Such plans are in pipeline and announced soon on becoming operational. Night coach from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad are likely to fetch Rs 3 to 4 million daily for PIA and provide affordable air travel. Soon PIA will announce night coach for Multan.

Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Authority CAA Pakistan has deferred implementation of enhancing airport charges to January 16, 2012 instead of Jan. 01, 2012.
Revised/ new charges will not apply on passengers travelling prior to Jan. 16, 2012. However, tickets issued now/ before January 16, 2012 with travel on/after Jan. 16, 2012 will be subject to revised/ new charges.
