Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves reach $20,387.9 million

Karachi, February 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday announced that total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$20,387.9 million on 12 February 2016.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:

i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 15,514.8 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks: US$ 4,873.1 million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 20,387.9 million

During the week ending 12 February 2016, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$174 million to US$15,515 million, compared to US$15,341 million in the previous week.
