Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves position on September 11, 2014

Karachi, September 11, 2014 (PPI-OT): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$13,414.8 million on 05 September 2014.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: –


i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 8,693.4 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks : US$ 4,721.4 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 13,414.8 million

During the week ending 05 September 2014, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$26 million to US$8,693 million compared to US$8,719 million in the previous week.

During the week SBP made payments of US$61 million on account of external debt. No major official inflow was received by SBP during the week.
