Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves position on July 24, 2014

Karachi, July 24, 2014 (PPI-OT): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$14,450.2 million on 18July2014.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: –


i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 9,398.8 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks : US$ 5,051.4 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 14,450.2 million

During the week ending 18July2014, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$87 million to US$9,399 million compared to US$9,486 million in the previous week.

During the week ending 18July 2014, SBP has made payments of US$69 million on account of external debt servicing and other official payments. SBP did not receive any significant inflows during this week.
