Pakistan to host International Conference on Halal Industry Jan.16-17 in Lahore

Lahore: An international conference to promote Halal Industry will be held on January 16-17, 2012 in Lahore and attended by constituents from Malaysia, China, America, Russia, South Africa, Mauritius, UK & UAE.

To be inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, jointly organized by Halal Research Council, Agriculture & Meat Company (PAMCO) Punjab Government, idea of conference is to take international Halal Industry in confidence to promote Pakistan’s Halal Market & industries, which is USD3 trillion. Pakistan is agricultural country and due to its excellent Livestock, 100% Halal Products, it has opportunity to be introduced as a Halal Products leader and increase foreign exchange and minimize trade deficit.

Zubair Mughal CEO Halal Research Council said Pakistan is only country in which 100% Halal products and Meat is available, due to which it has unique position in Halal Industry. “We can market our products in International market easily which values USD3 trillion.”

Participants will discuss Halal Market, Halal Banking, Finance, Halal Industrial Estate, opportunities of International Investment, Halal Certification. Conference is supported by 11 International Halal Bodies, Pakistani Chamber of Commerce’s & industries, Trade associations, agricultural universities.
