Pakistan Navy Ship Alamgir arrived at Port of Alexandria

Islamabad, December 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Navy Ship ALAMGIR (FFG-260), a multinational Frigate of 25th Destroyer Squadron, commanded by Captain Imtiaz Ali PN arrived at port of Alexandria Egypt with an embarked ASW Helicopter on a three days goodwill visit. The ship was given a warm welcome on arrival at Port of Alexandria, says a Press Release received from Cairo here today. Naval Forces have historically played pivotal role in strengthening the bonds of friendship between nations through good will visits.

This visit of Pakistan Navy Ship to Egypt is also aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship between the countries. Pakistan and Egypt historically enjoys brotherly relations. As brother in arms, Pakistan and Egypt navies maintains warm and cordial interactions since decades. This includes regular exercises and training exchange programs. Pakistan Navy regular visits to Egypt are manifestation of this strong bond and firm commitment to cooperate closely for enhancing interoperability and mutual understanding between the two Navies. The visit is also aimed in pursuance of policies of the Government of Pakistan to enhance friendly relations between the two countries.
