Pakistan Independence Day celebrated at Consulate General, Jeddah

Islamabad: Pakistan Independence Day falling on (Sunday) August 14, 20011, will be celebrated by the Pakistani community living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with usual favour and enthusiasm, at the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General of Pakistan, Jeddah, says a press release received here today from Jeddah.

The ceremony at both the places will start with the recitation from the Holy Quran at 0825 hours followed by the flag hosting.

The flag hosting at the Embassy of Pakistan at Riyadh will be performed by the H.E. Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Naeem Khan. In Jeddah the flag hosting ceremony will be performed by the Consul General of Pakistan, Mr. Abdul Salik Khan, at the Consulate General of Pakistan.

Messages of the President and Prime Minister will be read out on the occasion in the Embassy of Pakistan Riyadh and the Consulate General of Pakistan Jeddah.

All Pakistani nationals and their families with children are most cordially invited to grace the occasion.

The Embassy at Riyadh and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah will remain closed for Consular Services on 14th August, 2011.
