Pakistan and England Cricket Series continue in United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi, November 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): International cricket enthusiasts are bracing themselves for another outstanding display when Pakistan takes on England in a one day international at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi this Wednesday. Mr. Naeem Bashir Ahmad, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of International UBL unveiled the trophy with the two captains Azhar Ali and Eoin Morgan, as well as representatives of the title and sponsors at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.

The ODI is part of an ongoing series that has already seen a 3-match test series that ran from mid-October until early November with matches played in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Tomorrow’s match is the first of four one-day internationals, the second of which will also take place in Abu Dhabi on November 13, the third in Sharjah on November 17, and the final match in Dubai on November 20. The series will culminate in three T20 matches; two International T20 matches will be played in Dubai on November 26 and 27, and the third and final T20 match on November 30 will take place in Sharjah.

“We are preparing very well for this ODI series, Infact, Younis Khan’s return to ODI squad hopefully bring some more energy into the dressing room, he is an experienced player and I hope he will perform the way he does in past. Winning makes it more significant because it gives more confidence level for us and we had recently won the Test series and we are looking forward to the ODI series with a positive approach”, says Pakistan’s skipper Azhar Ali, who is confident of continuing his team’s prolific record in the UAE.

England captain Eoin Morgan is also confident his team will continue the momentum of its Ashes win. “We had a good training sessions and players are very positive, we had a productive summer with some exciting tournaments with Australia and New Zealand, which has seen lot of unbelievable performances by youngsters. We know that this series will be different, the surface is quick and Pakistan offers a different challenge and we look forward to have a positive outcome” he says.
