Pak-Japan business dialogue to be held on March 22 at Tokyo

KARACHI: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan informed Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to hold fourth meeting of Japan-Pak Business dialogue to enhance bilateral trade between both countries.

Hiroshi Tajima, Director (South West Asia Division) of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan said the meeting would be held on March 22 at Tokyo, Japan. Tariq Iqbal Puri, Chief Executive of TDAP assured the delegation to extend full cooperation for the subject meeting and informed Pakistan attaches great importance to its trade relations with Japan.

He briefed the initiatives taken by TDAP including participation in trade fairs in Japan, visit of trade delegations, export of mangoes and establishment of VHT Plant at Karachi. These initiatives would certainly help in enhancing bilateral trade between two countries.

He mentioned the meetings with Chief Executive of various chain stores during his last visit to Japan with the President of Pakistan and the companies showed keen interest to import high-end Pakistani textile products. The Japanese delegation included Wakana Kanikawa, (South West Asia Division), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan, Masaharu Sato, Consul General of Japan, Karachi and Taichi Arioka, Economic Researcher, Advisor, Consulate General of Japan, Karachi. Shahid Latif Khan, Director General, TDAP and Atif Aziz, Director (CE), TDAP, Karachi were also present.
