Pak-Iran business council to be set up soon: Shakri

RAWALPINDI: A business council for the promotion of trade between Pakistan and Iran will be established soon, said Iranian ambassador to Pakistan Mashallah Shakri Monday.

Talking to a delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Shakri said Iran was keen to invest in Pakistan’s power, gas and ‘Halal’ meat sectors. From an economic point of view, Pakistan is one of the best countries for investment, he said.

Iran is well aware of the power requirements of Pakistan and has already offered for the provision of cheap electricity, he said.
