One who has to stay here must say Ram Ram

Jammu, February 28, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Civil Secretariat employees from the Valley were harassed by Hindu goons soon after cricket match between Pakistan and India in the ongoing Asia cup tournament on Saturday night.

The employees told media that Hindu employees from Jammu and local residents assembled in the premises of government quarters and started raising slogans. One of the slogans, according to the Kashmir secretariat employees was “Jis ko yehan rehana hai Ram Ram Kehna hai” (One who has to stay here must say Ram Ram)”.

Later, they banged the doors and windows to frighten the Kashmir staff. The employees said that even security personnel deployed in the government quarters supported the sloganeering mob. When contacted Civil Secretariat Employees Association President Ghulam Rasool Mir confirmed the harassment and slogans by the Jammu based employees and locals of the vicinity.

Mir also condemned security personnel for joining the mob in harassing the Kashmir employees. “The Jammu-based employees to travel to Kashmir during summer months of the civil secretariat and never ever any employee or locals indulge in such cheap act,” Mir said.

He also urged government to provide adequate security to all the employees from Kashmir so as to prevent such incident in the future. “All this was done to provoke us. While we did not react, the part played by the security personnel deployed to man the government quarters is troublesome and highly condemnable,” he said.
