OIC condemns missile attack on Marib mosque

Jeddah (IINA) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the missile attack on a mosque in the Yemeni province of Marib, which led to dozens of deaths and injuries of innocent people.

OIC Secretary General Yousef Al-Othaimeen described this bombing as a terrorist act and counter to the values of Islam and the sanctity of life. He stressed that the spilling of blood and targeting of the house of God constitute a criminal act committed only by those who stripped themselves from all religious, ethical and human values.

Al-Othaimeen expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

The secretary general reiterated the OIC’s full solidarity with the Yemeni legitimate government in its fight against terrorism and its efforts to maintain security and stability in all parts of the country. He also insisted on the OIC’s principled position which strongly rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, as well as its categorical refusal of all justifications for terrorist acts.
