OIC chief condemns terrorist attack in Afghanistan

Jeddah Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by Daesh terrorist group in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, killing at least 30 people and injuring scores of others.

Al-Othaimeen condemned, in the strongest terms, the series of terrorist attacks that have gripped Afghanistan in the past few weeks. He also stated that the perpetrators and supporters of these shocking crimes have definitely no place among Muslims.

The secretary general reaffirmed the OIC’s support to Afghanistan and commended the resilience, resolve and perseverance of the Afghan nation. He conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Al-Othaimeen expressed his categorical rejection of these terrorist acts that violate the sanctity of human life and reiterated the principled position of the OIC against all forms of terrorism and extremism.
