Mian Idrees shows serious concern on legislation by parliament on revival of sick units
Karachi, April 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): The President FPCCI Mian Idrees his shown his serious concern on legislation by parliament on the revival of sick units. The cause of sick industry is the in competitiveness created by the Socio-Political environment of the country. There are visible indicators that sick units can be competitive in global environment if a level playing field and favourable economic environment is available.
The Severe energy crisis continuously deteriorating law and order situation and legal and regulatory hardiness in doing business have played important role to make business in competitive. In these circumstances there is an urgent requirement to develop business friendly policies including legislation by the parliament.
The President FPCCI Mian Idrees assured the Government that FPCCI and business Community will support all business friendly efforts. It is notable that FPCCI has prepared a detail report on the easing to do business in Pakistan.
This study will be launched in a Seminar on the revival of sick industries in the next month. Here it is important to note that FPCCI has declared the year 2015 as ‘the year of revival of economy’ and the revival of sick industry is an important component of this program.
