MDM condemns arrest spree in IOK

Srinagar, February 07, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM) has condemned the arrest spree unleashed by Indian army and police against Hurriyet leaders and activists in the territory. The MDM spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that such tactics could not break the resolve of Kashmiris.

He said, “In Jammu region Maulana Nisar Ahmad was arrested just because he was distributing pamphlets in connection with the completion of 23 years of Dr Qasim’s illegal imprisonment.”He also condemned the lodging of Ameer Hamza in Kathua Jail. “These tactics won’t break the resolve of people and it will only increase the hate in people towards India,” the spokesman maintained.
