Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry for foolproof security measures during Eid days

Lahore, July 04, 2016 (PPI-OT): The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the government to ensure fool proof security during the Eid days to avoid any untoward incident.

In a statement issued here, the LCCI President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, Senior Vice President Almas Hyder and Nasir Saeed said that coward terrorists are used to target the innocent people and common places frequently hit by the terrorism therefore foolproof security arrangements should be made.

The LCCI office-bearers said that though law enforcement agencies are putting in their best efforts to weed out the menace of terrorism but to make the country terrorism free, every person of the society would have to play its role.

They said that security has become the most important issue and calls for emergent measures to tackle it head-on. They said that terrorism could only be defeated by collective efforts as no single entity can cope with the situation fully.

They Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to take every possible step for the well being of business community. They called to functional the businessmen-police liaison committees in all the major city markets by incorporating genuine businessmen in these committees.

The LCCI office-bearers said that state-of-the-art security system including night vision security cameras and surveillance system with complete backup arrangements should be installed in all markets of the city and other public points to monitor the anti-social elements.

The LCCI office-bearers said that anti-Pakistan elements want to tarnish the soft image of the country and also want to create anarchy like situation. Their ugly conspiracies should be dealt with iron hands. They said that terrorist and their facilitators don’t deserve any sympathy as they are playing havoc with the country. They said that speedy trial and strict punishment to the terrorists and their facilitators are a must to control this menace. They said that law enforcement agencies should enhance their coordination and ensure timely exchange of all information.

They said that any further delay in taking preventive measures could cause any untoward incident therefore measures should be taken on war footing and traders and masses should be given foolproof security during the Eid days.
