Kyrgyzstan to enhance trade relations with Pakistan: Envoy

Rawalpindi: Alik Orozov the Ambassador of the Kyrgyzstan in Pakistan said that Pakistan has favourable environment for investment and Kyrgyzstan keen to enhance trade relations with Pakistan. “Both the countries have great potential to extend bilateral trade” he said.

He was exchanging these views with the business community of the Rawalpindi during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here on Tuesday. President RCCI Jawed Akhtar Bhatti, Senior Vice President Raja Amer Iqbal, Vice President Ch. Iqbal Ahmed, member executive committee and other members of the Chamber were also present on the occasion.

Ambassador said that Kyrgyzstan was keen to enhance the bilateral trade relation with the Pakistan and every possible step would be taken in this regard. He further said that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan are two brother Islamic countries and it is need of the hour to promote trade activities between the two states. He stressed that Muslim countries should extend trade relations with each other to come out of the prevailing world economic crunch. While speaking on the occasion President RCCI Jawed Bhatti said that despite having great potential both the countries have very low trade volume. “Pakistan total exports to Kyrgyzstan are $0.7 million and imports are around $0.1million”, he added.
