Korean companies willing to invest in Sindh power sector

Karachi: Korean companies KOSPO and Hyundai have expressed their willingness to have a joint venture with the Sindh government in the power sector here.

This was stated by Ambassador People’s Republic of Korea Choongjo Choi while meeting Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah at CM House on Monday.

He also said Korean businessmen are willing to invest in various sectors in the province. The willingness of Korean investors has come after CM Sindh’s visit to their country. Shah along with a delegation visited Korea recently.

Advisor to CM Sindh Zubair Motiwala, Consul General of Korea In-ki Lee, Secretary Sindh Investment board Younus Dagha and others were also present.

Later, during his visit to KW&SB office in Karsaz, Choi also offered support in improving the overall sanitation and water supply systems of the metropolis. He said People’s Republic of Korea not only understands the problems of water supply and sanitation here, but is willing to contribute its expertise in the said fields.
