K.E send the Bill according to Meter Reading, Muhammad Yameen Conversation on the event of hearing applications against K.E. at Deputy Commissioner Malir and #39;s Camp Office

Karachi, July 21, 2016 (PPI-OT): Advisor to Regional Office of Federal Ombudsman Muhammad Yameen has said that K.E should send the Bill to the consumers according to Meter Reading, so that they can avoid to pay excessive bill on approximation, he was expressing these thoughts while hearing Applications Against K.E. at Deputy Commissioner Malir and #39;s Camp Office.

He said more that on directions of Federal Ombudsman Salman Farooqi it is our duty to provide justice to the poor at their doorsteps. He said that Ombudsman Court is a unique authority which is providing quick and free justice to the people and receiving hundreds of applications against excessive billing of K.E. Applicant from Dunba Goth Ghulam Rasool told that Kunda System is upended in Dunba Goth and despite meter are not being used, K.E. is sending the bills. Ombudsman court asked him if people of Dunba Goth are living without electricity, he told that we are bothered of behaviour of K.E. that is why we have started to use Solar System upon which people are happy.

Applicant Faheem told Ombudsman Court that generally normal bill are sent but among them suddenly excessive bill is sent due to which I am very upset whether pay the bill or fees of my children.

Ombudsman court upended the excess billing and ordered to pay remaining amount in instalments. Applicant Manzoor Ali told the court that there is no power here but K.E. is still sending bills of huge amounts regularly, is request to the court for providing justice.

An action was also taken for other applications against K.E. and excess bill was upended. While Applicant Abdul Ghaffar, Imran Ali and Abdul Qadir Usmani not attended the hearing.
