July 2011 $2.203 billion exports highest ever in Pakistan’s history

Karachi: Exports in July 2011 rose by 27.6% to highest ever figure of $2.203 billion which Trade Development Authority of Pakistan says are “highest ever exports for month of July in the country’s history.” Exports in July 2010 were valued at $1.726 billion.

Imports during July 2011 were of $3.689 billion registering 13,9% growth over $3.239 billion in July 2010.

TDAP Chief Executive Tariq Puri Thursday said Commerce Ministry & TDAP will continue to support and collectively facilitate business community to maintain this momentum going forward by ensuring enabling environment. He said TDAP’s new initiatives to focus on regional markets resulted in positive sign in enhancing exports.
