Iran ready to finish Pakistan gas pipeline before due time

Islamabad: Iran’s Vice President for International Affairs Ali Seedlou on Monday voiced Iran’s readiness to complete gas pipeline to Pakistan before due time, IRNA news agency reported.

Saeedlou, currently in Pakistan for three-day visit, made the remark in a meeting with Finance Ministry officials. Referring to Iran’s US$100 million assistance to Pakistan’s flood-stricken people, he said Iran’s road ministry is keen to cooperate with Pakistan in reconstructing devastated areas.

Pointing to upcoming visit to Pakistan of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, he said Tehran has no restrictions for expansion of ties with Islamabad.
