Iran completed due work on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project: Iranian Envoy

Rawalpindi: Iranian Ambassador Mashallah Shakeri Saturday said Pak-Iran gas pipeline project will be completed soon to curb the existing energy crisis of Pakistan.

Talking to President Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) Jawed Bhatti, here, Ambassador said his country has almost completed his due work on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project and now its Pakistan turn to complete the remaining work of the project.

He said that Iran is fully aware of the energy needs of his brother country and has already offered providing of electricity on cheaper rates.

He stressed that Iran want to enhance the trade relations with Pakistan on priority basis.

“Iran keen to enhance bilateral trade with Pakistan and stressed that it is need of the hour to endorse trading activities between the two brother Islamic and neighbouring countries”, he added.

Shakeri said that Iran is eager to promote the bilateral trade with Pakistan and focused to establish direct relations between the business communities of both sides. “Iranian Embassy will provide every possible facilities to the Pakistani Businessmen Community in this regard”, he said.

Speaking on the occasion President Jawed Bhatti said that RCCI always focus to enhance the trade activities among the neighbouring countries. He said that RCCI is working on gear up the business activities among the SAARC Countries for the development of the region.

He further said that the Rawalpindi Chamber already initiated Made in Pakistan project in the SAARC States and recently said Expo was organized in Bangladesh.-
