Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) to be introduced allover the country: Chairman IPO

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Intellectual Property Organization (IPO-Pakistan) Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi has said that functions of Intellectual Property Organization would be introduced in all over the country by initiating comprehensive media campaigns and seeking cooperation of opinion leaders to create awareness among the masses.

He stated this while talking to a group of media persons here Sunday. Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi said that we can attract mega business networks to invest in Pakistan by ensuring compliance of IP rights. He said we are determined to promote the soft image of Pakistan in the world by protecting legal rights of valid business owners and in order to come up to the expectations of World Intellectual Property Organization various initiatives had been taken to improve the working of IPO-Pakistan.

Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi told that is needed to rebuild the infrastructure of IPO-Pakistan to accelerate the processing of the increasing number of applications for registries and quick disposal of pending applications. He said that shortfall of relevant staff members in the IPO offices would be fulfilled immediately. He said necessary steps would also be adopted to keep IPO office online to facilitate the applicants and the standard of services would also be improved by provision of necessary facilities.

IPO-Pakistan Chief said that presently very few persons know about the Intellectual Property Organization and a lot of efforts are required to promote the message of this organization to all the concerned persons.
