Inspector General Police Sindh along with senior police officers visit office of Citizens Police Liaison Committee

Karachi, April 28, 2016 (PPI-OT):IGP Sindh A. D. Khawaja today visited office of the CPLC, accompanied by other senior police officers. CPLC chief, Zubair Habib informed the IGP about various different services being extended to under the CPLC. IGP Sindh observed to further modernize and secure the software of CPLC. He further observed to upgrade helpline system and SMS service for the citizens.

“In this continuation, WhatsApp number/group may also be established so as to have valuable sharing of citizens as well, for making the public services system more efficient”, he added. Khawaja stressed upon the measures for synchronizing CPLC crime analysis Management System with that of police crime record to ensure action against POs and absconders. He said that a dedicated software be prepared with regard to sale and purchase of vehicles to check illegal business of defaulted vehicles.

IGP also said that there was a significant need of having proper coordination and cooperation between police and CPLC.”The battle against extremism, terrorism and heinous crimes will only be fruitful if the Police, civil society and other stake holders play their due role in a coordinated manner”, he added. IGP appreciated the role of Sindh Rangers in maintenance of peace in the city, along with the efforts of Sindh Police.
