India’s ED moves Delhi court to quiz Altaf Shah in Tihar

New Delhi, March 15, 2019 (PPI-OT):India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED), today, moved a Delhi court seeking its nod to quiz illegally detained Hurriyat leader, Altaf Ahmed Shah, in connection with a false case registered against him.

The ED also sought to question a Kashmiri businessman, Zahoor Watali, over his friendship with Pakistani leaders and Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, and Naval Kishore Kapoor, a UAE-based businessman.

Altaf Ahmed Shah, Zahoor Watali and Kishore Kapoor were arrested by India’s National Investigation Agency in a false case and are presently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

The court will hear the matter on March 19. The NIA had earlier filed a charge-sheet against Altaf Ahmed Shah, Zahoor Watali, Kishore Kapoor and others in the case accusing them of “conspiring to wage war against India” and fomenting trouble in occupied Kashmir.
