Indian armed agents kill another civilian in Sopore

Srinagar, May 27, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian armed agents killed another civilian in Sopore town. Gunmen sponsored by the Indian establishment barged into the house and fired indiscriminately on Ghulam Hassan Dar at Dooru area of the town. “Dar sustained multiple bullet injuries in his back and died on spot,” a local police officer said.

Ghulam Hassan Dar who was block president of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference had rented land to a mobile phone company for a tower. On Monday, a 23-year old civilian Rafiq Akbar Hanji was killed and two others were injured when Indian armed agents attacked a BSNL franchisee outlet in Shah Faisal Market in Sopore.

Muslim Conference leader, Jehangir Ghani Butt talking to media men while condemning the killing of party block president, Ghulam Hassan Dar and a civilian Rafiq Akbar Hanji said that such inhuman acts are against Kashmiris’ just struggle, adding that Indian establishments’ agencies hand would not be denied to defame the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people.

On the other hand, the killings also evoked widespread condemnation with Hurriyet leaders including Syed Ali Gilani and United Jihad Council (UJC) describing it as terrorist act and termed it a handiwork of Indian agencies while Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society member Khurram Pervaiz who also condemning the attack on civilians .

Meanwhile, several people were injured in violent Indian police action on mourners who were demonstrating against the killing of Attaullah Butt in Channigam, Yaripora, Kaimoh and Kulgam areas. “Indian armed forces fired teargas canisters and used pellet guns after batons proved ineffective to contain protesters,” Mohammad Waseem, a witness, told media.
