India not to succeed in its nefarious designs to suppress freedom movement of Kashmiris: Masood

President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan says India is attempting to change the demography of Occupied Kashmir by converting the majority of Kashmiris into minority.

Talking to media along with UK Member of Parliament Tony Lloyd in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said New Delhi will not succeed in its nefarious designs to suppress the freedom movement of Kashmiri people through resorting to cowardly acts.

Sardar Masood said scores of people of Azad Kashmir martyred due to Indian firing at Line of Control. He urged said India to abide by the 2003 ceasefire agreement.

He said the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has recently published a comprehensive report highlighting the draconian laws of India in Occupied Kashmir.

Apprising about his recent visit to the USA, the president said that he effectively raised the Kashmir issue at the meeting of the OIC contact group for Kashmir.

He also thanked Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi for effectively raising the Kashmir issue at the United Nations and General Assembly.

Speaking on the occasion, Tony Lloyd said the issue of Kashmir cannot be resolved by the use of force and dialogue is the only way forward to resolve it.
