Imran Khan arrested as per law: IHC

The Islamabad High Court has declared PTI Chief Imran Khan’s arrest in Al-Qadir Trust corruption case as lawful.

IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq raised questions over the Rangers’ move to arrest Imran Khan from the court’s premises on Tuesday.

The IHC also issued notices to the Interior Secretary and the Inspector General of Police of Islamabad over contempt of court.

The court directed its Registrar to get a First Information Report registered over the circumstances of the arrest. It also instructed the Registrar to conduct an inquiry and submit a report by 16th of this month.
