Hurriyet leaders call for shutdown on Monday against innocent killings in IOK

Srinagar, February 14, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyet leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik have called for complete shutdown tomorrow, (Monday), to protest against the killing of a 19-year-old Danish Farooq and 22-year-old Shaista Hameed by Indian troops in Pulwama district, today.

Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in their separate statements while appealing people for protest strike against the cold-blooded murder of Kashmiris termed the killing of innocent civilians by the Indian Army at Kakapora in Pulwama as the worst kind of state terrorism of India in the territory.

On the other hand, the High Court Bar Association, Hurriyet leaders including, Syedah Aasiya Andrabi, Zaffar Akbar Butt and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza have extended support to the tomorrow’s strike call. Meanwhile, the authorities placed APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest in Srinagar. A large contingent of Police and paramilitary forces condoned the house of the leader, today, APHC spokesman said.
