Great potential to enhance Pakistan, South Korea bilateral trade

Karachi: Republic of Korea ambassador to Pakistan Choong Joo Choi says there is great potential to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries.

Speaking at reception hosted by Korean Consul General In Ki Lee for Sindh Assembly members, businessmen who recently visited Seoul, he said they also attended Korean Investors Conference in which delegations from 29 countries attended.

Choi said Pakistan delegation had useful interaction with Korean corporations and hoped more progress would be made as they want more cooperation between Pakistani, Korean businessmen. He felt there is need to rectify weakest link that was deficit of knowledge about each other in both countries.

Vice Chairman Zubair Motiwala acknowledged Choi’s efforts in making trip of their delegation a resounding success. Korea will soon enter selected list of eight countries having trade turnover of over $1,000 billion. He said Pakistani businessmen made progress in inter-action with Korean companies.

Chairman Pakistan Korea Business Council Ahsan Mukhtar Zubairi said there was lot of potential for Korean companies in Pakistan, who could use it as base to export their products to Central Asian & Middle East countries.
